دعاء للرزق الحلال Dua for Halal Income

Ibn Hibban – Kitab al-Du’ā
اللَّهُمَّ اكْفِنِي بِحَلَالِكَ عَنْ حَرَامِكَ وَأَغْنِنِي بِفَضْلِكَ عَمَّنْ سِوَاكَ
Allāhumma akfini bihalālika ‘an harāmik, wa aghnini bifadlika ‘amman siwāk
“O Allah, suffice me with what You have allowed (halāl) so that I do not need what You have forbidden (harām), and enrich me with Your bounty so that I am independent of all others besides You.”

why this dua matters

Barakah Rizq

This concise prophetic supplication (from Ibn Hibban) encapsulates a Muslim’s attitude toward sustenance. It asks Allah for halal provision as a shield against haram, and for spiritual richness that eliminates dependency on creation. In a world of ambiguous earnings, this dua realigns intention toward divine grace.

The phrase “aghnini bifadlika” signifies seeking contentment through Allah’s bounty, not merely wealth. When internalized, it removes anxiety about income and protects from desperate choices.

teacher & parent reflections
Teacher Uthman
How can we explain the concept of "halal income" to young children without making them fearful?
Parent Maryam
We use the analogy of "pure food vs spoiled food." Halal income is like fresh, pure milk – it strengthens your body and soul. Haram is like a rotten fruit, it might look okay outside but harms you internally. This dua asks Allah to keep our "riziq" pure.
Teacher Amina
My students often ask: why should we rely on dua instead of working harder?
Parent Khalid
Dua is not a substitute for effort, it's the engine. We teach children that we work with our hands, but we also ask Allah to put barakah in our work. This dua is like asking for "blessing-enriched income" – sometimes a little with barakah is better than a lot without it.
Teacher Zaynab
What if a parent works in a place with marginal halal, how to keep the spirit of this dua alive?
Parent Ibrahim
We discuss as a family: "We are asking Allah to open doors of pure halal, and we trust Him." We also take practical steps – avoid doubtful contracts, and give extra charity. The dua keeps us mindful, not perfect, but striving.
Ibn Hibban – Kitab al-Du’ā, authenticated make this dua after every salat
